The Werner 77 Semi Classic is a classic yacht for a Dutch client. She will be equipped with the latest technologies, resulting in an exceptional boat with retro lines. Mulder Shipyard is developing the project in cooperation with Theo Werner yacht design and recently began her construction.

The total length of this steel round-bilged motor yacht will be 23.70 metres with a beam of 5.80 metres. Two Caterpillar C7 engines will be installed, each providing 187 kW at 2,400 rpm. Her cruising speed has been calculated at 11 knots. The Werner 77 Semi Classic will be delivered to her owner in mid October 2008. 

The client selected Mulder Shipyard for its extensive experience in the 20-to-30 metre segment. The yard has delivered a large number of yachts in recent years both in steel and in aluminium, such as the Mulder 76 Flybridge in 2007 and recently the Mulder 73 Wheelhouse, both of which are examples of high-quality yachts with superior performance.

Although Mulder Shipyard’s own designs are internationally famed, the construction of this yacht proves that the yard can create yachts outside its own delivery programme. A previous example is the cutter the yard constructed to a design by Willem de Vries Lentsch. Clients can come to Mulder Shipyard with their own designer if the design is sufficiently innovative and distinctive, and meets Mulder Shipyard’s stringent quality requirements.
